My name is Rebecca. I’m a journalist, writer, editor and cook. I like creative collaboration, playing with words and ideas, organising events and meeting people.
I have written features about people, food, and fashion, among other subjects for Vogue, AnOther, The Business of Fashion, Monocle, Elle, The Financial Times, Munchies, Tank Magazine, The Daily Telegraph and many more.
I have recently been awarded an AHRC-funded PhD thesis. It is an analysis of ‘Niemands Frau’, Barbara Köhler’s contemporary German feminist poetic ‘translation’ of Homer’s Odyssey (and quantum physics, maths, film, grammar, film, weaving…) at University College London.
My food blog Dinner Document includes recipes and essays.
I write poetry and am part of a collective set up by Edwina Attlee and Samuel Barton called ‘Sitting Room‘: we curate readings with quiche and stiff drinks, hosted in our front rooms.
I am from a village in Suffolk called Dallinghoo, and live in Peckham in London.
